Full Description of Event/Sighting: This evening my boyfriend stepped out for a smoke. He called me outside quickly and in the north sky about 200 feet from the top of Observation Mountain (about 2,000 feet above ground and very close to a radio tower) was a huge very bright ball of light, hovering above the mountain.

A few seconds later we saw what looked like aircraft/jet/plane flying from behind it heading west. About 30 seconds later, the hovering bright light dimmed a bit and shot up straight into the air and the aircraft/flashing lights disappeared.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While driving home from work I noticed a light in the sky. It was hard to tell how many meters above me it was. This light was round with what looked like a drop coming from the bottom of it. I saw it through the trees as I was coming down the hill and then I noticed that there were two of them, one slightly above the other, just hanging above the trees.

I slowed down, watching these to see if they were man made or what, exactly, they were. They were glowing and silent. I pulled over to watch them slowly move away and then they disappeared out of sight. I drove to the bottom of the hill, hoping to see them again, but there was no sign of them. A few months ago, I was talking to a friend about this and she interrupted, saying she had seen exactly what I had seen. Very strange.

UFO Was Zeppelin

Such was the case this week when Vike received a report of a strange object hovering over Haro Strait near Victoria on Wednesday.

Our lovely home is for sale in Houston British Columbia. As much as we would like to remain in northern B.C. our family has all moved south so we have decided to do the same.

Bright Lights Zig Zagging In The Sky Over Kimberley British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: This could be nothing, but I noticed three or more very bright lights in the sky. They were brighter than stars and appeared bluish in color. They seemed to be blinking, but not moving. I went in for about 15 minutes and when I went back out, they were completely gone.

Do you know what that may have been? I also saw a very large bright lights about three weeks ago on a Friday morning camping way up St. Mary's road, past grey creek pass. Large, round and moving in a zigzag pattern and then just zooming away and then just gone. This happened around 3:0 am. It was the only I who saw them. I yelled for the others to come look, but they had been drinking and were passed out. Do you know what these could have been?

UFO Spotted Over Haro Strait Near Victoria British Columbia (Sighting Solved)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband, mother-in-law and I were at a viewpoint on top of Mt Tolmie in Victoria. The sky behind us to the west was solid black thunder clouds, but to the east over the water the sky was clear. My husband was the first to see, in the east, what looked like a very large jet liner that was stationary in the sky. His comment was "That plane sure isn't moving very fast." He was right.

The object was bright white with no visible markings and was sitting completely still. If it was actually the size of a jet, it appeared to be about five or six miles away. If it was something else, the distance was difficult to judge as we did not know its size. We do know it was over the water. Although it was near the flight path from Victoria to Seattle and it was a bit lower than the planes usually are.

We've seen enough large planes to know that at a certain angle they can look like a long tube as the wings appear superimposed on the body of the plane. We took that into consideration. We also know that a plane flying directly towards or away can look like it is not moving. However in this case neither scenario seemed correct. It definitely looked like we were seeing the side of the object.

In that case it should have been moving. If it were coming right at us, or going away, it should have become larger or smaller. Actually, if we were seeing just the end of the "plane" that would have meant it was immense! None of that happened. It stayed exactly the same. After several minutes it suddenly seemed to shrink then fade away, although it did not change its position. Just as suddenly it reappeared a few seconds later in the very same place, in it's original size, shape and again a bright white.

After a few more minutes it started to move very slowly in a southerly direction towards the Straits of Juan de Fuca. I've never seen a plane fly that slowly and stay in the air! We discussed the possibility of it being a balloon or strangely shaped kite. We eliminated the kite idea as there was no wind on the water, in the trees far below us or on the mountain top. In fact it was unusually still. If it was some sort of tethered balloon it had an incredibly long string and at some point became loose.

However if it had been tethered then broken free it would be surprising that it managed to maintain a course that did not wander or deviate at all. We watched it for about 10 minutes. I wanted to follow it along the waterfront below and try to find, but we had to get my mother-in-law home. So, after much consideration, I decided to pass on the information to you as it really was an "Unidentified Flying Object". Perhaps some others saw it that afternoon and can give a better description or better still an explanation.

Hello Brian- The UFO that you report seeing on September 8th, was a zeppelin (dirigible) that was contracted through Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in collaboration with the NOAA Marine Fisheries Service in Seattle and the Center for Whale Research on San Juan Island to take aerial photographs of killer whales. I was aboard the vessel and we did hover over an area of Haro Strait on the west side of San Juan Island called False Bay for approximately 45 minutes between 4 and 5 p.m. I will be posting a more in-depth article about the mission this afternoon. I would be happy to send you a link to the article once it is posted.

Bright White Light Flying Low Over Kelowna British Columbia

Hi, I think I saw the same thing in the sky that the lady saw. Sept 3 at about 8:45 pm. It was a bright white light about as high as a low flying plane, no noise or flashing lights that are on a plane. It went right over me then faded out and disappeared. It was in my sight for about a minute and a half. Weird.

Additional Information:

Kelowna B.C. Canada. I was reading on the site and a person from Penticton B.C. saw the same thing I did a night earlier. I went to let the dogs in and noticed it was warm out and clear so I thought I would look at the stars for a bit and there it was.

I watched it go right over me for a minute or so then in two seconds it just faded out and was gone. It kind of looked like the headlight of a low flying plane, but no other flashing plane lights or plane body or noise.

It was way to low to be a satellite, you could see stars and satellites way off in the background. I've spent a lot of time gazing at the stars and that is the first time I saw something like that. A day earlier a few people in Kelowna phoned into the radio saying they saw funny lights in the sky during the day. UFO?, ball lightning?, strange weather? who knows, but that is a first for me.

UFOs Over Kelowna British Columbia

Hi there, I to have been seeing the UFOs quite frequently, in fact I was watching them tonight. It looked like 2 white lights pouring out of the handle of the big dipper. Last night it came over head. It was a bright light that came to a stop, then shrunk to a small light and faded out. In July I saw them then to. I have a big tree in my back yard. My son and I were watching the sky it came down from the west.

It was a very large amber colored light. Once it went behind the tree we could not see it anymore. I have been trying to get people together in the Kelowna area to form a sky watch group, but people seem to be shy or afraid. Is anyone interested?

Gun Metal Black Cylinder/UFO Over Kelowna British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was called out to the balcony on December 10, 2009 at 15:50 by a co-worker who had been looking at large black cylinder in the clear sky for several minutes already. He asked, "do you see what I see? Is that what I think it is?"

There was a third person on the balcony who was listening to our conversation while looking at the black cylinder, however she did not comment whatsoever.

I saw this gun-metal black cylinder, which to me seemed massive as it was very high in the sky. It was roughly at a 35-40 degree angle with a small contrail and was moving very slowly at first.

It seemed to stop, hover, then resume it's slow speed (I have found an online photo of the exact object we saw, pretty much the same size and position at www.thetechherald.com in an article called 'Mystery Cylinder UFO Spotted Over British Holiday Resort'-Stevie Smith).

It behaved this way for approximately 10 minutes. I had to leave the scene to tend to work. Roughly 3 minutes later this same co-worker came to me and said the cylinder accelerated at an unthinkable speed then disappeared.

We both had never seen anything of this sort!

That night I explained it to my husband who is ex-military, and he did not have an explanation either!

Now, today, September 2, 2010 I heard on the local radio station that at 08:15 several people had called in a blue light that had a small contrail, which hovered, then disappeared.

A speaker from the local observatory said the only things this phenomenon could be are remnants of asteroid belt that recently passed through Kelowna (of which a small meteorite hit a construction site!) that hit the stratosphere or a "spacecraft".

For the rest of the day I have noticed an unusual amount of activity in the sky in a relatively contained area.

It seems to be military action as up to 7 high-speed crafts flying extremely high (with decent binoculars all I could see were thin, slightly triangular silver crafts. They also reflected a lot of light).

These crafts left long double contrails and flew in all directions, two of which were flying behind each other as if chasing, patrolling... or whatever.

Today's activity is in the same 'area' as the black cylinder I witnessed with ! my co-worker eight and a half months earlier.

If anyone has witnessed the UFO/Object, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Bright White Light Baffles Witnesses Over Penticton British Columbia (ISS Sighting)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Looked out the window and noticed the bright light which was larger then a star moving at a steady, but slow speed from southwest, to northeast. I've seen satellites in the sky before, and this was not it. The light appeared to be low, and below what clouds were in the sky. I notified my wife to look out the window to see. We then went out to our back deck and watched as it continued on and over the mountain horizon until we could no longer see it. It made no sound, no flashing lights like you would see on an airplane. Very strange, and very interesting.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi there, I have never filed such a report as this, but I feel compelled. I walk my border collie most nights around 7:30 p.m. On August 31, 2010, we took a familiar route on a nearby street. The evening was cool and grey with low cloud cover, and the daylight had turned into a half light.

The street lights were on 20 minutes later. Something caught my eye to my left and about 200 feet above some houses was a stationary object, probably dark grey or brown, and about five to ten feet wide in size. There were no lights on it. It appeared square, possibly cube like, but as it rotated it disappeared for a second or two, as though it may have been two dimensional.

I discarded the possibility it was a kite, because there was no wind at all. We walked about 40 feet and looked up again and saw it. We walked another 40 feet, with some tall pines blocking our view, and when I looked up again past the pines, it was gone, no trace at all anywhere. It did not reappear. Just thought I would share this. Thanks.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Sorry I can't be specific as I only found your website today. If I can find the exact date, I'll send it to you. I was on my own sitting on my covered deck on my farm overlooking the Nechako River as usual-enjoying the darkness and night air. I noticed a bright orange, fiery, round shaped object sitting above the river.

It did not move and seemed to radiate light in a star shape. I watched it for about 30 minutes and then went to bed. Next day I sat in the same position and looked over to where I had seen it. Because our deck is covered, we cannot see the stars. It must have been low over the river. Sorry I wouldn't like to guess how high up, but must only have been about no more than a few hundred feet. No noise came from it. I did not feel afraid.

Witnesses Report T Shaped UFO Over Smithers British Columbia

Hi, my name is (name removed) the Date is August 31st 2010. Smithers, B.C.

At 9:00pm we saw a flying object in the sky in a T shape, spinning in the sky. Then afterwards, and it is still going on at 10:40 pm. This bright orange light comes and goes in the sky then disappears, but it goes in circles around town in a stream. As we were driving, we looked over towards Tyhee lake, and there was a bright white light shining up from the lake with a bright orange light over top.

Then within seconds, it disappeared again. We tried to follow this light, but it goes to fast. It is still going around and this is since around 9:00pm tonight. Please email me and let me know what's going on, we tried to get video of the object, but it was too late, it disappeared and not even a minute after it disappeared, there was the bright orange light kind of like a fog circling Smithers British Columbia.

UFO Stops On A Dime Over Parksville Beach Parksville British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My friend (name removed) and I were sitting on the sand facing north on Parksville beach, and we were talking about 2012. I leaned back on a log and tilted my head towards the stars and right away I noticed an object moving from east, northeast to west southwest. I would have to guess it was at an elevation of 50,000 feet, or higher.

I said to my friend hey, "look at that" and she noticed it right away. We watched it travel at a guestimated speed of 2000km/h in the direction of west, southwest. After observing this object for 3, seconds, it stopped on a dime and started to travel northeast at a guestimated speed of 3000 to 4000 km/h. It only traveled in that direction for about 2, seconds before making a large 180 degree turn back in the west, southwest direction.

It then continued in the direction of west, southwest until my vision couldn't follow it anymore. My friend and I were wowed at what we had seen and laughed because we had been talking about 2012. About 10-12 seconds later, she said hey, there it is again, and she pointed to the west, but I wasn't able to see it quick enough before she said it took off in the direction of west, southwest again.

I never looked up after that and shortly after we drove back to Nanaimo where were from. I can't stop thinking about what we saw and I've considered calling airports to see if they have anything reported on radar, but I found this site instead.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My ball team was sitting by the fire enjoying the night when my sister looked up to the sky and said "look at that", we all looked up and saw a lit up triangular object in the sky. Then we all said "it looks like it is towing something!"

We could see a dark line attached to a dark object of the same shape behind it. We were all speechless because it was what it was. An object towing another in the night sky. Then as if it knew we were watching, poof gone. We discussed possibilities, but really we all believe it was UFOs.

Unknown Orange Colored Ball/UFO Seen From Esquimalt British Columbia

Funny coincidence. I was watching 'Men in Black' up to the point where the bug killed the two in the cafe. That's enough, I'll go out for a smoke. August 12, 2010, 10:15 pm, Esquimalt, BC, Canada. Felt fine as the coffee was heating and rolling a smoke. As I got the binoculars around my neck I started feeling queasy.

I opened the door and see slippers the cat to the left and an inch long Chevron of baleful orange twinkling due west about 1 degree above my line of sight. It just sat motionless. After a few seconds I put the 10 by 50 Jason on my eyes.

It must have been a good distance away. An angry molten sort of orange coloured ball about the apparent size of a large pea. After a few seconds, I dropped the binoculars to get another naked eye comparison, still an inch long chevron and motionless.

Since nothing was happening, I took the cat downstairs to the patio for a feeding and about 7 seconds I look up and the object is gone. I stayed on the ground to finish the smoke and observed 2 meteorites, not orange and not motionless ! :)

I observe white-blue chevrons often and sometimes it feels like they are observing me. I don't wave at them and they don't wave back. There is a naval base about 2 kilometers southwest of my abode. I am a 55, male and beer and aspirin are the mind-bending substances that cause my obviously distorted perceptions :) You are welcome to reply. I found you this morning on a Yahoo search and I may explore your page.

Almond Shaped UFOs Over Kelowna British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I received a text the morning of the 14th of August, 2010 from my brother in Ontario telling me to watch the skies due to a meteor shower. My family loves watching the skies. We have seen things so many times. Now I am finding this site and I want to tell you about our recent sighting here in Kelowna. My son and I forgot about the meteor shower and the text, and while we logged onto my Facebook, I saw another reminder in my home page from my brother.

I read it out loud to my son, this is also while my hubby was in the bathroom. My son and I looked outside while we were getting up and I noticed a red light flashing. "OMG! What is that flashing light, I said to my son. My son got close to the window and was already in amazement and piped up and said that there was another one. My hubby came out of the bathroom and came to see what we were getting excited about.

He said get the binoculars, but darted for them himself as we were glued to the window. We then all headed outside on the front deck. I looked into the binoculars after him and could see when the red flashing light was not flashing. I could see a silvery white object (luminescent). He told me to get my camera. I got it excitedly and tried to get the right setting, but due to it being only a few weeks old to me, I didn't know where the buttons and settings were in the dark.

I managed to put it on mountain view and tried to get the objects within the camera screen, but it wasn't focusing. The sky was perfect, not a cloud in it. Anyway, the first object came to a stop in the sky and then second one sped up to catch up to it. Once they were very close to one another and they both started going together travelling very quickly. When the huge tree, in the neighbors yard across the street, obstructed our view I raced off down the road to get a better view, but they were no longer seen in the sky.

My hubby said, he saw 3 flashing red lighted objects, but all my son and I saw were 2. I did call the police the next morning to see if there have been any other calls in regards to the flashing red lights in the sky, and she asked me what I meant by a flashing red lights. (I know helicopters and planes aren't like this. I have seen so many in the night skies so many times). My reply was I didn't know what they were.

That they were in our area. I told her they were UFO's. I told her that I wanted to talk to somebody in regards to them and she put me through to dispatch where I put it on file. The lady in dispatch I had to tell her everything from beginning to end. She told me an officer would call, but nobody did. My son whom is 11.5 years, couldn't go to sleep for quite a while after this. He was scared. Me on the other hand I think it is amazing to be a witness to these events and would love to meet the beings.

So here I am days later trying to still find answers, due to nobody calling me back in regards to the event. Were there other witnesses to this event? I am seeing there have been other things happen in the Kelowna area in regards to a woman and her son and her friend. And after Googling that night, I found there have been other sightings in the past years to flashing red lights in the night skies.

Bright Objects Over Silver Bridge In Pitt Meadows British Columbia

Time: Evening.

Last Saturday, me and a couple of friends were outside watching the stars and we saw something very similar to your article. The lights were not blue, red and white though. They were only white and brighter than anything else in the sky. They were about an inch or less apart and did not separate or move closer together. We watched them for a little less than a minute and then started to fade out and then completely vanished. This was at Silver Bridge in Pitt Meadows.

Strange Lights Spotted Over Qualicum Beach

While many eyes were turned towards the heavens last week to watch the annual Perseid meteor shower, at least two sets of those eyes in Qualicum Beach saw more than they bargained for.

Brian Vike, a Houston, B.C. resident who heads up Sightings.com, a UFO network, said he received a report of something even more unusual than meteors on Aug. 14.

The time was 10 p.m. as the two residents, whose names Vike would not release, said they were watching the meteor shower when they saw two strange lights in the eastern sky.

UFOs Over Qualicum Beach British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While Perseid meteor watching I saw two lights in the eastern sky (to the left/north of constellation Cetus). They caught my eye due to their obvious colour, which differed from the stars around them. They were flickering and shifting from red, to blue and then to white. They were about as far apart as a loonie coin held at arms length and were pinpoints of light. They were situated relative to each other, one at the 10 o'clock position, and the other at approximately 4 o'clock position.

I was surprised to note that the two points of light then began to rotate, and switched positions gradually, with the 4 o'clock light moving to the 10 o'clock position, and vice versa.

Then, they began move directly apart from the 10 and 4 o'clock positions, but very slowly. The top light began to gradually fade and the bottom light subsequently blinked right out and vanished suddenly.

Approximately 15 minutes later the two lights reappeared, in same relative position to each other, but this time they were located more to the north -- they crept across the sky toward the north star.

When they had moved as far as the Little Dipper they appeared to stop moving. They remained motionless for about a minute and then the top light began to shimmer and shake, flashing blue, red, white colours very brightly. Three blue streams or rays of light briefly shone out of this 'top' light, and pointed towards the 'bottom' light. After a few seconds the 'bottom' light increased in brightness very rapidly, obviously and impressively, and departed with shocking speed to the west. The top light simply ebbed away and vanished without any apparent motion.

UFO Moves Across The Sky Over Telkwa British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: This was years ago and I did file a report then, but they never recovered the photos I got. About 10 years ago or so, I saw a big white light in the night sky. I was watching it for a while and I noticed that it was moving too fast to be a plane or helicopter, and too slow to be a comet or meteor. It kept moving back and forth, back and forth pretty quickly. It was so bright sometimes, it looked like it was on fire or something. It was too far up in the sky in order for me to tell exactly what it was or what shape it was, but I'm guessing round because it was like a little ball of light.

UFO Underneath Air Canada Aircraft Over Wreck Beach Vancouver British Columbia

Time: Approx: 5:00 a.m.

Sitting on wreck beach around 5:00pm 14th April 2010 saw a small object tracking 500 yards underneath an Air Canada aircraft traveling towards Vancouver International at something like 250 mph. The object appeared out of nowhere and then disappeared over the horizon. It was like a bubble type vehicle. Most odd.
