Two Women Have A UFO Close Encounter Between Nanaimo And Campbell River British Columbia

Date:  September 2009
Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hello, my name is (name removed). My experience happened in September 2009 but I just found you now.

My friend and I were driving home from Nanaimo to Campbell River, we were on the highway at about 9:30 p.m. about 20 minutes away from Hamm Rd.

The skies were super clear and crisp. We were chatting, had the music on, etc.
Throughout the drive we both noticed 2 little lights way in the distance, kind of hovering around, but very far away.

We both didn't think much of it and carried on chatting. Out of know where, about 20 feet above her car was 2 huge bright lights (bluish white) with orange glowing on the sides.

Below the light were 2 metal looking structures hanging down like 2 arms.

We drew a picture when we got home, but it is kind of hard to explain, my first thought was, it was a flying vehicle.

Everything was silent, the music was no longer playing, her car wasn't making a noise, we were going simultaneously with these lights, it was like a magnet with her car.

If we got out and threw a rock, we would have hit the object, that's how close it was.

We were both in like some sort of trance. I felt for my phone to take a picture, but just couldn't take my eyes off of it. After about 30 seconds of staring, I yelled out "what the heck is that", and it was gone.

I looked back and the 2 lights were way in the distance hovering around, jerking movements almost very far away.

We both were freaking out confirming with each other, we had just seen and experienced the same thing. As we turned on to Hamm Rd., the 2 lights were closer again and hovering over by the trees with it's lights shining on the trees.

I called the police when I got home and they said "you'd be surprised how many weird phone calls we get about that area". She seemed kind of weird about it, and said it could have been the government doing testing. Didn't  make sense to me.

The next day I felt really weird and so did my friend. Anyways I would love to hear back from you. I think about what happened this night every once in a while and felt like I had no one to talk to about it.

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.

UFO Close Encounter Between Burns Lake And Houston, British Columbia (Diagram)

Re-Posted November 14, 2008 (With an excellent diagram)

HBCC UFO Research Note: I have re-posted the Houston, BC - Burns Lake UFO story as I just received a excellent diagram from Lawrence who was one of the eyewitness to this amazing UFO event.

*Diagram Of What The UFO Looked Like With It's Lights Shinning Downward*

HBCC UFO Research put out an interview which is an audio recording I did with an eyewitness who resides in Houston, British Columbia. Since I mentioned the sighting and had not a lot of time I put the audio portion of the sighting up on the website for folks to listen to. I finally got around to writing up the entire event that took place on August 3, 2008 between the towns of Houston and Burns Lake, British Columbia. There were two people who were involved in this frightening experience. One of the eyewitness by the name of Lawrence came to my home on August 5, 2008 asking if I was the alien fellow. Of course I had to chuckle to myself just hearing I was the alien guy.

Lawrence introduced himself to me and we sat down at the patio furniture and he told me what he and a close friend had seen.

Lawrence and his friend were a little bored so they thought for something to do they would take a drive out to Burns Lake from Houston. It was a beautiful day as they drove along highway 16. They arrived in Burns Lake just around dusk, looked at the lake and drove around. Seeing it was getting late they decided it was time to head back to Houston and they proceeded on the hour's drive back home. Everything was going fine as the two men traveled along until they got just about to a rest area at Decker Lake.

Looking down the highway and up into the sky they noticed a light which appeared to look rather odd. In the seconds as they watched, the light grew closer to them and grew in size and brightness until it was hovering just over highway 16 and in front of their vehicle. Lawrence had already slowed the vehicle down due to watching the light coming so quickly in their direction. Both men sat stunned, not to mention being frightened at what they were seeing and weren't about to make a dash in the vehicle and try to drive underneath the craft. The fellows had no idea of what may happen to them.

Lawrence pulled the vehicle over to the left/east side of the highway as the event took place right at the Decker Lake rest area. *Photo of the Decker Lake rest area*

Both men sat staring at what they came to realize as a Unidentified Flying Object. Lawrence describes the UFO as being a cigar in shape, the craft was of a large size, approximately the size of a Greyhound Bus and had lights on it. He described the lights to be more like florescent tubing as they were long in length and ran down the side of the UFO. The colors of the lights were red, yellow and green. The men said there was not a sound from the object, no buzzing or any type of motor noise. The craft sat hovering and the lights on the craft were so bright that they lit up the highway and surrounding area.

Both fellows still sitting in the rest area, kept an eye on the craft which hovered over the highway for a short period of time. Then the UFO moved a small distance ahead/east and made a "U" turn over the highway and came back to a hovering position over the trees on the opposite side of the highway from where the men were parked. Again the objects lights lit up the trees and surrounding area and just sat there hovering just over the tree tops for a couple of minutes or so and then Lawrence said the craft just shot off at a incredible speed, like if someone shot a bullet from a gun.

*Photo looking down the highway where UFO hovered above*

*Photo of where the UFO hovered over the tree tops*

They were still able to keep an eye on the object as it was well lit up and as they watched, the UFO moved off into the distance up into the night sky. It then looked like a small ball of light. Although the object moved towards the west, it had to have traveled back towards the men as it was seen as a little ball and directly over top the vehicle, but at a great altitude. The fellows kept their eye on it, watching it blink the different colors that they reported seeing on the craft.

Seeing that the UFO was still high in the night sky, Lawrence thought it might be OK to continue their trek towards home. Lawrence drove out of the rest area and onto the highway. The passenger in the car was able to look up and out of the windows of the vehicle to keep an eye on the object. The fellows drove a number of miles down the highway, feeling at this point all was going to be alright and they would get home without any other incidents.

Well, it didn't take long before their worst fears were coming true. They just arrived alongside the Burns Lake airport, still driving on highway 16 when the same object came at them and once again they were forced to stop the car in the middle of the highway, not wanting to risk driving under the UFO. The craft hovered just in front of their car and around tree top level with the lights shining brightly lighting up the highway and entire area.

*Photo of the Burns Lake airport*

After a short period of time, but to the men it felt like a lifetime had passed by, the UFO moved away in exactly the same fashion as it did with the first encounter. The only difference was that the craft did a U turn on the left side of the highway and sat hovering over the tree tops lighting up everything around it. The men still parked just a little off the highway observing this, wondering what was to come next. The craft shot off towards the west/Houston, B.C. and the fellows watched it move into the distance at a great altitude where it appeared to look like a small ball. As they kept an eye on the ball of light, Lawrence started driving again along the highway. They passed Rose Lake and they were still able to see the small ball in the sky. They passed Duncan Lake, Six Mile Hill, Topley and eventually over these many miles they arrived home in Houston and the ball was still visible to them.

Seeing this was such an unusual experience which freaked the guys out, they stopped at the Houston RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) detachment to make a report on what they had seen. However there was no one on duty at the time. (this is normal late in the evenings in Houston). A short while later they made a telephone call to the RCMP as the men wanted to make sure a report did get filed.

(When Lawrence called the RCMP, he would have got the dispatcher who would have been located in Prince George, B.C.) The RCMP told them if anyone else saw this that they would officially file a report on the sighting. That was about the end of the story in regards to the sighting and the RCMP. Eventually after this frightening event was over and done with, and they had not received much "interest" from the RCMP the guys went their own way back to their homes.

Lawrence told me he was still able to observe the object from his home, although it was very high up and looking the same. He thought he had enough excitement for one night. He got cleaned up and went to his bedroom. He laid down on his bed and the window happened to be facing in the direction he last saw the object. Well there it was, the UFO still there. He got up from his bed, turned on the TV and every so often would glance out the window and would see the object stationary in the sky. As Lawrence told me, he was still scared after all that took place and was having a hard time settling down. Finally he managed to fall asleep.

If you haven't listened to the audio interview over this sighting that Lawrence and his friend had, you can listen into the eyewitnesses statement about what took place by following the link I have provided.

Also I should add a reporter from the Smithers Interior newspaper came down to the home and interviewed myself and Lawrence for a story for the newspaper. Although I have not seen the story come out as of yet.

Cranberry Junction, B.C. Object 10 Feet From The Back Of The Pickup

Posted: January 23, 2008

Date: August or Mid September 1985 Time: approx. 9 - 9.30 p.m.

Hi Brian, It was nice to hear from you. Its a funny thing you know that every time I hear or read about UFO sightings, I wish I would have reported it to someone at the time I saw whatever it was. I pulled out some old records, I believe it was late August or mid September 1985. You see I worked for Lyle Gold and Sons Logging and being that I live in the Nass Valley I used to travel the back road to Cranberry Junction and from there down the highway towards Stewart to the old Vandike Logging camp every Sunday night.

I had a 1980 Ford F-I50 short box pick up truck. It had no canopy so my visibility was excellent. It was a real nice night, the sky was clear, yet it was dark more like 9 or 9.30 p.m. I remember now because I used to leave the Nass camp at around 8 p.m. I was roughly five to eight miles from reaching Vandike Camp. I was three quarters of the way down this very long straight stretch and I caught a glimpse of this light in my upper front window rear view mirror. I noticed that the light came down at an angle from the Nass river side of the highway like in an "S" like motion but it was a long way back, about as big as this dot on the paper (pencil sized fullstop). It started at the beginning of the straight stretch like it came down and aligned itself with the pavement and if you count to five that's about how long it took to catch up to me going 90 kilometers per hour.

It came right up within ten feet in the passing lane of tail end of the pickup. I had a really good look at it in my rear view mirrors and I even turned my head and looked at it. It was a single light about four feet round and was within inches of touching the pavement, very close. I was trying to see if I could see some mass or structure behind the light but I didn't see anything. I was going to wave at it by sticking my hand out of the window but I chickened out.

By looking straight into the light it was weird. It was like looking at the moon. The light did not shine or light the highway up. It was a light within itself. After watching the light and watching the road I looked back and it was gone. Then a car came around a corner in front of me. I don't know why but I didn't tell anyone in the camp what I saw when I got there. But the very next morning there was five of us guys going to work in a crew cab going back the same way I had came to camp that night. We worked 15 or so miles back down the highway from the camp. It was about 6 a.m. just daylight. It was going to be a very nice day, the sky was a deep morning blue and there was a gray cloud hanging just above the Nass River. It was only as wide as the river and about a kilometer long.

I wasn't driving so I was admiring the beauty of this long gray cloud and all of a sudden there was a blue explosion in that cloud. It was the same deep blue as the sky and it was a loud explosion too. I saw all of the blue go out from the explosion and like a magnet it got sucked back into itself and I watched the blue come out of the cloud like a blue worm. It stretched out like an elastic band and like you would let go of that band it shot down the Nass River at a super high speed. I noticed when the head of the blue came out of the clouds there was no ship or structure it was like blue mercury or something liquid (very strange). The guys next to me were shocked when it exploded though they were watching the road and didn't get to see what I did. They said what in tarnation was that ! All I could say was "I don't know".

I don't know why but I never did tell them what I had seen the night before. I just took it in as a blessing because not too many people get to see something like that. I don't know what it is. I can only tell you and draw a picture of what I saw. It could be right there in front of you and you wouldn't know it. A true master of surprise it is.

Investigators Note: The witness has made two drawings which are posted on my website.

The first drawing shows the position on the highway of the truck in regards to the object. The second diagram is one of the truck and the object in relation to the highway and Nass River.

I would like to thank the two witnesses for their reports.

Update:

Investigators Note: The above told me he was driving with other co-workers in a truck when a deep morning blue and there was a gray cloud hanging just above the Nass River. He also mentioned there was a blue explosion in that cloud. Well this witness had looked up one of the co-workers who he was driving with that day, and asked if I would be able to talk to him about what he saw. I called a really nice gentleman who gave me his report to what he saw that day.

Witness #2's report - This fellow told me he had not seen or heard from witness #1 for sometime. This fellow reported that there were still an other in the pick up truck at the time of this sighting, but sadly the third man has now passed away. He conformed that this did take place up on the Cranberry by Derek Lake (he believes) and they had been staying in the Lyle Gold and Sons Logging Camp. He also confirms that a strange gray cloud in a completely clear blue sky when he also seen the weird blue light which came out of the cloud with a tail at one end of it. These men watched the blue light move slowly along until it seemed to just explode.

So we have two witnesses now to this sighting.

The witness drew two diagrams which I have placed below showing the object in relation to himself.
