Approximately 28 To 34 Orange Lights Observed Over Coquitlam British Columbia

Date: February 26, 2011
Time: Approx: 7:21 p.m.

Hello Mr. Vike, I wanted to ask if anyone else had observed approximately 28-34 orange lights in the sky last night around 19:21hrs. The lights were evenly spaced and were observed in a two-line formation traveling quite quickly for approximately 10 minutes.

I had taken photos with my phone whilst standing on the street in Coquitlam, B.C. Thank you.

A Vike Factor Note: I have posted another report over this same sighting, you can read this at: http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/2011/02/around-50-bright-lights-and-thunder-of.html

Around 50 Bright Lights And The Thunder Of Jet Aircraft Over Burke Mountain Coquitlam British Columbia (Pictures)

Date: February 26, 2011
Time Approx: 7:30 p.m.

Hi, I'm just wondering whether anyone else has reported to you any unusual activity in the skies above Burke Mountain last night at around 19:30hrs. I, my wife and daughter saw around 50 or so lights in formation appearing over the top of the mountain from the north and moved slowly towards Coquitlam.

They all very bright with no noise, probably at 2 to 3 thousand feet. Do you have any ideas and do you want any further info. We all found this to be very unusual, particularly as it was snowing and the lights appeared fairly low, Thanks.

Photo View: You can view a larger version of the picture to the left by clicking on it.

Additional Information:

Brian, in addition to my last, the volume of objects took approximately 15 to 20 minutes to pass over head and then disappear into the clouds. We first saw the objects as we were driving up Lincoln Ave, facing Chelsea Park and the mountain. At that junction I was so surprised that I stopped the van in mid junction and got out to view.

I keep a pair of binoculars in the van so was able to get a better look. The objects were consistent with each other, emitting the same level of light and were the same size and shape. I had time to find my camera and took a couple a pictures, not brilliant, but do show a section of the lights. I will send them later once I get back to my computer. Also, some of the lights would stop and change direction.

Photo View: You can view a larger version of the picture to the left by clicking on it.

Approximately an hour after the event I heard the rumble of very close jet aircraft overhead, perhaps the Air force? These made at least two passes. The nearest airport is Pitt Meadows and I'm sure I've never seen or heard such aircraft operate from there. Before. Hope this is useful, let me know if your contact at YVR can offer an explanation. Thanks.

Brian, as promised please see attached documents. They are in actual fact 1 to 2 seconds of digital camera video, not very good quality but you can just make out the lights above the tree line taken from my drive way. Its a new camera and for some reason it doesn't want to record more than a few seconds.

Logging Truck Driver Observes UFO Sitting On The Ground Outside Of Houston British Columbia

From the Vike Factor archives (Brian Vike) http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/

Date: Winter of 1998
Time: 3:00 a.m.

I was in our local store the other day when a fellow had seen the logo on my winter coat and asked did I belong to a UFO Research Group. I told him I was it, (the one looking after The Vike Factor).

He started to tell me about a strange sighting he had back in 1998, when hauling logs out of the Morice Lake area which is approximately 80 kilometers southwest from Houston, B.C. I asked him if he could call me when the man found a little time. He did indeed call a couple of days later, and told me what he saw that early winter morning.

The witness was driving along the Morice West Road and just came over the top of a hill. Looking straight ahead of him he saw what he described as aircraft landing lights which were sitting on the ground. The lights were extremely bright and white. There was no flashing, nor did the light move. Whatever it was, it was not moving.

He also said there was no one logging in that area at that time. He also told me that a road which did lead into the area was blocked by a huge bank of snow and the road itself was covered with approximately four feet of snow. The driver said he was really curious to know what he'd seen. The logger would have liked to have stopped, but seeing the roads were icy and extremely slippery, a 70,000 lbs. load, plus other logging trucks were coming behind him a kilometer away, he thought it best to just keep going.

The witness got on his radio and asked the drivers behind him if anyone was doing any forestry work where he saw the light. Everyone called back telling him there was nothing in the area. (It would be doubtful that it would have been a helicopter at that time of the morning). Also I asked if it could have been a snowmobile and he told me no. There were no signs of anyone going in along the snow covered road and that was the only access to the area where the light was. He told me all areas around where the light was sitting was dense forest.

As some of the truck operators drove up over the hill they too were able to see the light and found it very unusual. It was a clear cold night and the northern lights were dancing across the sky.

I mentioned to him that the Huckleberry Mine was having a lot of sightings around it. He said he had also heard of a number of reports coming out of the area from the workers.

A Vike Factor Note: Up in this same area in the years past there has been a lot of UFO activity, I should know as I was witness to a very strange event one early morning at approximately 4:00 a.m. Houston, British Columbia where I reside, and Terrace, British Columbia were the UFO capital of Canada for the years 2002 and 2003.

Witness Observes Disc UFO While Feeding The Deer At Nanaimo British Columbia Canada

Date: February 5, 2011
Time: 3:40 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Rice shaped? Oval? Disc?

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I live in an area where the lights aren't nearly as bright. There's a small forest and river near by, and I go outside once in a while if I'm awake and see the local deer out there. I was feeding one some slices of apple, and looked up to see how cloudy it was to anticipate the weather for later that day and I saw it. A disc in the sky. I thought I was seeing things, so I rubbed my eyes and looked again. Twice.

I felt so shocked, like I was stunned and couldn't move due to awe. If I held my hand out, it would be the size of my thumb nail (across). I could almost bet it was reflective, because staring at it, you could tell it wasn't glowing, it was like it was silver, and reflective. Dim, but definitely there. I've worked on military bases here before, and I know helicopters don't move like that.

It was like a swaying motion, but in that distance, it was moving back and forth maybe a mile or two, just back and forth. I watched for about 5-10 minutes before it hovered, then shot off really fast to the south.

9 Or 10 Orange Colored Objects/Lights Over Aldergrove British Columbia

Date: February 22, 2011
Time: 10:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 9 to 10.
Shape of Objects: Orange objects/lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: 9 or 10 objects, orange in colour, flew overhead as I was walking to my house. They emitted a bright orange light which was brighter than the stars in the background. The objects seemed to be flying in random formation, like a kit of pigeons. They seemed to cross the entire length of the sky in no more than two seconds. It first appeared as a shooting star, but as it passes overhead, I could see there was multiple lights.

Bright Bluish White Object Breaks Up Over Comox Vancouver Island British Columbia (Meteor - Fireball)

Date: December 8, 2010
Time: Approx: 6:00 p.m.

Dear Sir, I ran across your website while searching for others who might have sighted a really bright meteor/fireball over Comox at around 18:00 on 08 December. I think I might have seen the same object you did. I think it was a type of meteorite, what they call a fireball or bolide. I actually reported it to some kind of network, but have never heard back from them. Anyway, here's an excerpt of the report I sent in, see if it sounds like what you saw.

Best Regards.

Any reports of bright meteors or fireballs from Courtenay area around 17:30 - 18:00 on 08 December 2010? A colleague and I had an interesting sighting of what appeared to be a very bright meteor/fireball last night. We were returning to Comox on the Queen of Chilliwack, having caught the 16:45 sailing from Powell River. I don't know the exact time, but I estimate we were about 30 minutes or so out of Comox when the sighting occurred (we could see the lights of Comox ahead).

What we saw was a very bright bluish-white object which appeared to break apart into about 3-4 smaller pieces and left a long very bright trail. I believe it may have been visible for as long as 4-5 seconds. We were sitting on the port side of the vessel and so were more or less looking south when we saw it at. I estimate the object was moving toward the south/southwest.

I cannot say whether there was any associated sound because were were inside during the sighting and viewed it through the window. I am no astronomer, but I have seen a lot of meteors over the years. I usually make a point of sitting out for the Perseids, for example. This was by far the most spectacular thing I have ever seen. My colleague saw it also. Did anyone else report seeing something like this around the same time/place?

Date: 08/12/2010
Time: 17:30 - 18:00 PST

Cloud: Not sure - there was some, but it didn't interfere with our sighting.

Location: Sorry, I can't provide coordinates from a topographic map. We were sailing from Powell River to Comox on the Queen of Chilliwack. Sighting occurred when we were approximately 30 minutes out (i.e., offshore) of the ferry terminal at Comox. If the vessel's bow is taken to be the end of the vessel that is pointing at Vancouver Island, then we were sitting on the left side of the vessel, looking roughly south when the sighting occurred. From this perspective the object first appeared in the upper left hand corner of the window frame, got brighter and began leaving trail that persisted for a few seconds; pieces broke off and then the whole thing gradually faded.

Beginning_azimuth: ~ NE.
Ending_azimuth: ~ SW.
Magnitude: Not sure - is there a visual chart one can use for comparison?
Moon: Much brighter - similar to how an arc welder would look about 10 m away.
Duration: ~ 4-5
Speed: medium-slow.
Flares: About 3-4 fragments broke off it as we watched, traveling at about the same speed and trajectory.
Colour: Bluish-white; (perhaps a bit of orange).
Train: Yes - it persisted for perhaps 3-4 seconds (an estimate).

Bright White Object Seen Over Peachland British Columbia Canada

Date: February 23, 2011
Time: 7:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, this is not the first report we have submitted. We have seen many strange things in the sky here. It was 7:00 pm, Thursday Feb 23rd, 2011 and my partner were out having a smoke when he called me out to see a bright white object drifting or gliding from SW to NE on a clear night.

It cloaked out as soon as it was near the city of Kelowna. No noise, no blinking, roundish with quite a sparkle and was flying low. It maintained it’s basic shape from the front of it all the way through it’s path to the the rear of it. It was not like an orb at all, which we have seen here in Peachland on more than one occasion. Wonder if anyone out there had seen it too but it was very chilly out. Military? Thanks Brian.

Planet Sized UFO Seen Disappearing Over Abbotsford British Columbia

Date: February 21, 2011
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

On Monday, February 21, 2011 at approximately 9:00pm I was looking to the west towards Langley and saw what at first looked like a planet in the sky off in the distance. It was either, not very high above the ground or very, very far away.

In any case, it appeared to be orange. So I continued to look at it and noticed that it had a twinkle to it, as if it was on fire, and it then disappeared and then re-appeared about a second later.

I continued to watch it for about 5 seconds as it then either disappeared or shot away in the opposite direction so fast it looked like it disappeared. I look out this particular window every night as it’s on the way to my bathroom and so I am pretty familiar with the lights and landscape, and this was nothing I had seen before in that direction.

Anyways, that's my story. I came across your blog after searching for UFO’s in Abbotsford. Hopefully somebody else saw the same orange light I saw.

Moon Sized Object Seen At Brentwood Bay Central Saanich British Columbia

Date: December 6, 2010
Time: 7:30 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi Brian, I'm glad to see you are back posting. I hope this means your health problems have improved.

I delayed in sending this to you as I got busy and you seemed to be inundated with reports. I didn't want to add to your load!

However, I did see something unusual early Monday December 6th, 2010 in the southeastern sky. My husband and I had been babysitting two young family members overnight at their home. About 7:30am we were driving east, along a narrow country road, to drop the children at school before continuing back to our own home in Victoria. The sky was clear and bright with only a few wispy clouds on the eastern horizon. It was about half an hour before sunrise.

At one point I glanced to the southeast about where the sun would be rising and saw lovely full moon just above the horizon. It was very large, as the full moon usually seems to be at moonrise. A few of the wispy clouds were across its face, but it was very visible. It was pale and almost translucent, its normal appearance in the daytime sky. I saw it long enough to say "wow look at the full moon" before it was obscured by trees on the side of the road. No one else had a chance to see it.

From the school yard I did not see it, although that part of the sky was visible. On the half hour drive home I did not see it although part of the drive was on a ridge with a clear view to the south east. By the time I got home I was puzzled and a bit annoyed that I did not see it again. By then the sun had risen.

It wasn't until much later that I realized you cannot have a full moon and the sun both rising at the same time. I checked the moon rise schedule and found that on that day there was a new moon, which means it is not visible at any time that day or night.

So any ideas on just what I did see and did anyone else notice it too?

Actually, I have a theory as to why some people see things and other don't, based on historical and anecdotal events but this is not the time to go into all that. :-)

Thanks for listening Brian.

UFO Stationary Before Moving Off Quickly Over Houston British Columbia

Date: February 5, 2011
Time: Approx: 7:00 a.m.

Hi, my name is (name removed) and I live in the town houses in Houston B.C. On the morning of February 5, 2011 around 7:00 am, my husband told me to come over to the window to look in the sky at what looked like a jet with no jet stream. I looked at this object for about 25-30-seconds and realized it was not a jet.

We were amazed at what we were seeing. So for a couple of minutes it looked like it was staying in one place, then it started to move and fast. It started moving then disappeared behind the mountain. I got on the phone and called the Smithers Airport to see what was flying in the air that morning. The attendant told me there was not anything flying at that time.

It was incredible it looked like a bright fire ball, it was amazing. So I just wanted to let you know because I do believe there's others out there if you have any more questions you can contact me by phone at (number removed) Thanks.

Orange Crescent Moon Object Over Mount Arrowsmith Port Alberni Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date: February 14, 2011
Time: Night time sighting.

I live on an open parcel of land surrounded by trees on all sides, I was taking the dog for her nightly walk on February 14, 2011 through an open field.

Towards the west I noticed a light almost at treetop level, partly covered by the first layer of trees.

The light which was actually in a clearing, was orange in colour and shaped like an upside down crescent moon and from the scale of the trees, it appeared to be about 10 feet long and about 50 feet from the ground.

In order to get a better view, we walked along the grassy field up a small hill, only to find that the object was slowly moving in the same direction.

By the time we reached the top of the hill the object was still not as visible as I hoped because it kept moving, and it also started disintegrating starting at one end of the crescent slowly to the other end.

There was no noise and no outline of anything and the dog totally ignored it. The whole episode took about 5 minutes.

There was a crescent moon shining through partial clouds near Mount Arrowsmith which is about 15 miles away, but I could find no local fog or low clouds or anything that could reflect the moons light, especially to create the flame orange colour.

Has anyone else seen anything similar ?

If anyone has witnessed the lights/objects, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Orange Objects Seen Over Rathtrevor Beach South Of Parksville Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date: 2009/20010 ?
Time: Evening.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 2-3.
Shape of Objects: Round, orange like fireball.

A Vike Factor Note: Vike was not the person who saw the object, but it was a person who filed the sighting report to Vike.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw exactly what Vikes saw in Pitt Meadows, but only I saw it on Vancouver Island: Orbs above the water at high tide, too low for planes, too high for debris from beach fires. I was 80 feet above water on an embankment. Orbs were about 50 feet above the water, near to me and not large. They moved slowly, stopped, hovered and went back, then disappeared into the air.

Red Lights In Circular Formation Over Downtown Vancouver British Columbia

Date: February 13, 2011
Time: 8:30 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was on my way to work in the passenger seat of my uncle's car, driving over the Granville Street bridge. I saw a plane flying, and a lot higher than it was what looked like blinking red lights in sort of a circle formation. The lights blinked for a couple seconds, then came together and created a large white light, then disappeared.

It also didn't move from the spot I saw it in. I have never seen a UFO before, and I've mistaken bright lights for them before, but never have I seen something so high up, so distinct, and change colors and disappear in an instant.

Vancouver British Columbia Orange Object Hovering Over The Rooftops

Date: Beginning of February, 2011
Time: Evening.

Had some friends over for dinner about two weeks ago. We were sitting at the table which is next to a large window which faces west. One girl then said, "hey look at that!" we all watched in awe as an orange orb like light was hovering just above the roof tops, but far away.

Most likely off shore. It proceeded to come to shore and then head south. Originally it was fairly low, but as it began to head south, it increased altitude and speed.

We watched it for approximately 7-10 minutes before it finally disappeared. We had enough time for me to pull out a pair of binoculars. Looking at it through the binoculars, there appeared to be a protrusion out front which was also lit.

The thing was really weird. I live fairly close the the Vancouver airport and see planes all the time. This thing was definitely not following any type of flight path nor was it acting like any type of plane.

This was near the beginning of February, 2011.

Anyone else see this?

Crescent Shaped Object Over Langford Vancouver Island British Columbia ?

Date: February 7, 2011
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Vike Factor Note: There has been a beautiful crescent Moon to be seen. Some photos were taken by folks and posted on Space Weather.com. Here is a couple of links to these photos which were taken on February 4, 2011.

Crescent Moon over Köniz, Switzerland - http://www.spaceweather.com/submissions/large_image_popup.php?image_name=Christophe-Stolz-4_2_2011_1296846389.jpg

Hey I am (name removed). Me my mom and her boyfriend all saw the same crescent shaped object. It was about 9:30, we were sitting outside and my mom noticed this object that appeared at first to be the moon, but upon closer inspection was definitely not.

The object was low in the horizon, it was very large and round with a bright orange crescent at the bottom. The rest of it was very dark.

We watched it for about five minutes and then all of a sudden it started to move downward completely out of sight from us behind the mountain. This happened in the period of about 5 seconds.

I myself could not tell the objects distance in the horizon, but am shocked at how big I think it is. It was not the moon, the moon doesn't move rapidly like that.

Please contact me and let me know if there's any updates about this topic because I was very scared when i witnessed this.

Additional Information:

I saw this on Vancouver Island, Langford B.C., Canada. I don't know how far away it was, or how big exactly, but it seemed to me it was a very large object, round, with an illuminated crescent on the bottom. Very disturbing when it moved from a stand still and disappeared in the horizon behind the mountains.

Orange Red Flame Like Crescent Shaped Object Over Kamloops British Columbia

Date: February 6, 2011
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Kamloops British Columbia.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Crescent.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: # 1 ) We, my husband and I, live in Kamloops B.C. At about 9:30pm last night Feb. 6, 2011 I looked out our patio doors which face west and saw a large orangeish/red ( flame like coloured ) crescent shaped light or object in the distance. It wasn't the moon, it was way too big to be the moon and the moons current phase is a crescent shape on the right side. The large crescent we saw was more on the bottom on it's back, very slightly to the right.

At one point it looked like the top part of the point on the right shot off, but the crescent regained it's shape again. The large crescent moved slightly several times, but then it moved back again. A couple of times it seemed to grow slightly larger, then smaller again almost like a pulsing.

Just before it disappeared (behind the mountain or the clouds covered it ? ) from our view it tilted slightly more upright to the right. We don't know what it was, but it looked way, way too big to be the moon, bigger than a harvest moon. I would like to know if anyone else seen it, and/or if you have any idea what it was .

# 2 ) Also I want to tell you about a strange low tone sound I've been hearing. I noticed it first in about November or October last year 2010. It's always there, sometimes it's louder than at other times. It's really hard on the nerves hearing that constant sound all the time. The only way to stop hearing it is to plug my ears, wear headphones, or have the sound turned up on the TV, PC, etc. Have you heard of anyone else here in Kamloops hearing that constant low sound ?

Also sometimes I hear a very high pitched sound, but it's not there all the time. Also last fall I heard a painfully loud sound only in my right ear, and then my hearing went very dull in that ear and stayed dull for a long time, for awhile I thought I was going to be mostly deaf in my right ear, but gradually my hearing came back to normal.

Side Of Mountain Gets Brightly Lit Up At North Burnaby British Columbia

Date: January 30, 2011
Time: Approx: 2:15 a.m.

Hello Brian, I have read your articles about the strange happenings on the mountains. I just wanted to share my todays experience with you: I live in North Burnaby close to SFU area (Duthie Ave). I have a house that has a great view on the Seymour Mountains. Today around 2:15 am, I came to the balcony for a smoke and I saw something really unbelievable.

I was looking at the mountain, and suddenly, a big circled area got lighted up in some kind of white-blue color. It was just seconds(2-3) and then it disappeared, but after about 10-15 seconds it came on again, and for the same few seconds. The light was so bright, I've never seen something like this before. I started searching on the internet and I found a very interesting picture that is very similar to what I've seen, I will attach it to my email.

And I also found your articles and read them too. What do you think it might have been ? I am really interested to hear your thoughts.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
