Bright Light Moves Up And Down Over White Rock British Columbia

Date: November 3, 2010

Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

My wife and I were walking along the boardwalk in White Rock, British Columbia and a woman called from outside her home to look up in the sky. We looked up and saw a yellow ball (orb) of bright light in the southeastern sky at about 65 degrees above the horizon.

We could not tell what it was, as none of the three of us had ever seen anything like this before. It hovered like a helicopter, but appeared to be quite close and from our perspective, it would have been about 3x the size of a helicopter or a bit larger. We doubted whether it could be any kind of helicopter because the ball of light was a complete orb and there was no distinction of any other form around or in the light.

It hovered at about 65 degrees for about 30 seconds, then dropped down to about 45 degrees for another 30 seconds then went back up to 65 degrees above the horizon and then it started to move away in a southwesterly direction. We watched until the ball went down to about 50 percent of it’s size and then it just totally disappeared like blowing out the flame of a candle.

I have no idea what this was and both myself and my wife and the people we spoke to on the pier have never seen anything like that and nobody had any ideas on what it was. We both have never seen any UFOs and therefore have never believed in any such thing. In any event, this occurrence has no rationale explanation for us albeit we are not very knowledgeable about what kinds of things this could be.

UFO Moves Across The Sky Over Telkwa British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: This was years ago and I did file a report then, but they never recovered the photos I got. About 10 years ago or so, I saw a big white light in the night sky. I was watching it for a while and I noticed that it was moving too fast to be a plane or helicopter, and too slow to be a comet or meteor. It kept moving back and forth, back and forth pretty quickly. It was so bright sometimes, it looked like it was on fire or something. It was too far up in the sky in order for me to tell exactly what it was or what shape it was, but I'm guessing round because it was like a little ball of light.

Prince Rupert British Columbia Bright Light Hovers Then Moves Off

Time: Evening.

Last night, February 20, 2009 there appeared to be the same bright light off the west coast of Prince Rupert, B.C. I first noticed it on Sunday eve passed. I thought it was a bit bright and strange. But last night it does the same thing as the other nights. It goes really bright and then it fades. I was discussing this with my husband who is a fisherman and he said they saw the same light out fishing the other night. But this light had moved when they were fishing and it hovered down low then took off. We believe it is the same light, because it is in the same spot as before. We are not sure what it is, but it is definitely not normal. We live right on the harbor side of Prince Rupert and it is very bright at times. Well not sure what it is, but it is not a normal star. Maybe it's a UFO. Thanks for your interest.

Port Coquitlam British Columbia Bright UFO Moves Upward From A Hover

Eyewitness Account: I was on our patio last night around 6:30pm and this very large bright light in the sky was hovering. The shape was sphere-like with colored lights circling it. (blue, red and yellow). It was hovering for about 20 minutes, then it started to move straight up slowly into the clouds. I ran upstairs to find my husband and he saw it too from our bedroom window. I asked him if weather balloons had lights he said he didn't think so and was blown away by what he had seen. "We are not alone".

Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada Light Moves Erratically

Weather Conditions: Mostly clear, some cloud patches.

Description: My daughter called me to say she was watching a light that got brighter on and off above what looked like Mt. Baker from her patio on the 5th floor facing south east. She said the light got extremely bright and was making erratic very fast movements and then it would come to a complete stop and shoot straight up until it couldn't be seen again. As we were discussing it she said here it comes again and it looked like it was following the Fraser river on a zig zag motion and then came to another abrupt stop. From there she said it disappeared into the darkness.

Being only about three blocks from her apartment, I went outside to see if I could see anything but I'm much lower than her apartment and could see nothing. We laughed and said she should call the radio station but she was reluctant so we did nothing. Later that evening a news flash came that there was an article on tomorrows news about UFO sightings in BC and my husband and I looked at each other in disbelief. Maybe she really was seeing something. We will have to talk with her to get the exact details as I am reporting from what I remember over the phone conversation as it was happening. I will ask her to draw what she saw. So when I watched the news the next day I was disappointed to find out that I could not contact anyone regarding her sighting. She does not have television so could not watch it either.
