Hello, Last night I was watching the stars and enjoying a cigar on my 6th floor balcony in Vancouver, B.C. A helicopter got my attention as it had a search light on near English Bay beach, so I got my Hi8 video camera out and shot a bit.
I kept the camera with me and whenever I saw a satellite fly overhead I would tape it. I also taped a bit of the planet Jupiter, low to the east.
At about a minute or two after midnight, June 29/08, I saw a slow moving satellite to the south. I rolled my camera on it. I had a clear shot of it, with a star centered still in the frame. It seemed to speed up and then disappeared.
Today when I watched the footage, I was surprised to see, that what I thought was a satellite, did a sharp zig zag as it approached the position of the "still" centered star and then sped up a bit and seemed to fade off to a higher orbit and disappeared.
I am now going to try to get, the video copied onto a file that I can e-mail and burn a DVD of. The sighting is about 10 seconds in length and quite clear. It now makes me wonder about some of the other "satellites" I have seen that seem to vanish or grow very dim. I used to just take it for granted, that it was the satellite losing sunlight to reflect. Keremeos, British Columbia Bright Light Makes Unusual Maneuvers

Full Description of event/sighting: The time was around 8:00 ish, once just north east of Hope B.C. I saw a very bright light over a mountain to our left while driving the Hope Princeton Highway and I wrote it off as a cell tower on mountain. My lady friend and myself saw it, one and a half hours later. It was between Princeton and Keremeos. It was the same thing and it was as if it was following us. It just hung over the mountain ridges as we drove. We took a motel in Keremeos for the night and on my walk, meditation, I saw it in the distance come over the mountains.
The super bright star and I thought it was a 737 jet with its landing lights on, getting ready to land in Penticton which was 30 or 40 miles away. It did some absolutely astounding maneuvers, turns so tight that no jet could do and it messed around for several minutes above me. I called my lady friend from the suite and she confirmed it was the same one we had seen earlier and then it parked in the sky above our heads, at maybe 5000 feet. We sat and watched until we got bored and went to bed. It took several minutes to come over the mountainous horizon and did some maneuvers. I have never seen any plane do that and it parked in the night sky with a halo around it until we went to bed. I really thought it was a West Jet 737 on approach to Penticton Airport until it did the crazy stuff and the park job.

Appeared To Be Over YVR, British Columbia UFO Makes An Abrupt Turn

Location of Sighting: West of my location, appeared to be over YVR.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Undetermined.
Full Description of event/sighting: Stepped out onto my deck for a few minutes to check the sky. Observed a plane which had just taken off from YVR. Sky is exceptionally clear for around here. I was looking around at all the stars when a bright flash caught my attention. I observed an object comparable in brightness to a Magnesium flare drop almost vertically from approx: 45 degrees above the horizon to approx: 5 to 10 degrees at which point it made an abrupt right angle turn and shot off horizontally towards the wnw, vanishing within seconds. The plane was still in sight about mid point between me and the airport. The object was brighter than the landing light and appeared to be about ten times as big. There was no trail or sound. Duration of sighting, seconds
Until it made the abrupt turn I thought I was looking at an unusually large meteorite
Wish it was warmer I'd like to sit out there for little while and see if anything else shows up. Currently 0 degrees Cel.
