Over 200 Witnesses Observe UFO And Beam Of Light In British Columbia (Written Report/Letter/Newspaper Article)

(Witness) - I talked with a scientist at the HR MacMillan Space Center/Planetarium in Vancouver, British Columbia.

He seemed to not believe in UFOs nor even the some 10,000 Crop Circles worldwide phenomena.

He suggested what they saw was simply the International Space Station.

Canadian UFO Investigator Brian Vike's Note: The above text I typed up is from the letter as you will see. Everything else below is the letter I scanned in and posted. The only thing I removed, was anyone's personal information.

The name Carolyn is from the newspaper (Cranbrook Daily Townsman Newspaper - Article ran August 12, 2003)

I did speak to Carolyn and eventually an article was done over the sighting.

Also there was the International Space Station that did fly over around the time of the sighting, but the sighting was over something else.

Also, there was a Fireball that flew over around the same time of the sighting.

So we know of two things that flew over the entire area around the time the witness had their sighting.

What came next, I wasn't prepared for. When the newspaper ran the news article they included my contact, email, website at that time, and my phone number which I gave the OK for.

Well in came the first call, a witness was reporting what they saw, then another call, and another, and another. Honestly, the phone never stopped ringing. This went on for almost a week. People wanted to file a report as they saw the unknown thing as well. Actually the phone rang so many times I grabbed my fishing rod and we went out to the river to have a break.

It ended up I took well over 200 phone calls and a few emails from this sighting. I know some folks believe it was one of the two things I mentioned above, these being the International Space Station or a Fireball.

But what people reported to me was no Fireball or the International Space Station. This was something odd, what, I don't know. Maybe if people had the chance to listen to all of the mini audio tapes I have over this, they might think differently. So for me, this was a UFO event that so many people observed.

Witnesses Observe Multi Coloured Light In The Sky Over Victoria British Columbia

Date:  December 12, 2014
Time:  Before midnight.

On Friday December 12, 2014 just before midnight I noticed a blinking light in the sky at least a few hundred feet above the tree-line in Victoria British Columbia (the craft appeared to be past the highlands).

My partners first response was that it was a satellite, but I asked "do they blink all different colors like that?", it was also not that high in the sky.

Then we thought "maybe its a plane", but it wasn't moving whatsoever and wasn't blinking the way a planes lights would.

The best way I could describe it was a hovering craft with multicolored lights, one color quickly flashing at a time and each appearing to come from a different direction/location on the craft.

We stood there for about 10 minutes just waiting to see if it would move, but the only thing we observed in that time was a second craft with a bright yellowish-white light approaching from the lower right.

That was when the craft ceased to blink multiple colors and instead slowly blinked from yellow to white much more dimly than the vibrant lights displayed before and again after the second crafts presence.

The second craft was not blinking red, so I'm not sure if that was a plane or another UFO. It returned in the direction it came from after coming reasonably close to what appeared to be a UFO, either trying to be discreet or using its lights to communicate.

There's no doubt in my mind, that this is the first time I have seen at least one UFO near earth with my naked eye.

The Inside Of The Witnesses Home Lit Up In A Flash Of Light At Abbotsford British Columbia

Date:  February 15, 2013
Time:  Around noon time.

Hi Brian, well, I don't know what the heck I saw, but I thought I had seen the flash of the same meteorite that hit Russia, but I'm in Abbotsford, B.C. so I don't know if that's even a possibility.

All I know is that I was standing in my kitchen, talking to my daughter, and all of a sudden my living room/dining room/kitchen area lit up for a brief second, as if the light was trying to come on, on it's own, except my kitchen light was already on.

I have only the one window in my living room, and the dining room and kitchen are in its path of light coming from outside. I'm in a low-rise building on the 4th floor. It was around noon on Friday (February 15, 2013) when this happened (pacific time).

At the time that it happened I had no clue about the asteroid and meteorite happenings, I only found out when my sister told me and then I turned on the news.

That's when it dawned on me that I might have seen the flash of the meteorite (or asteroid, but later I was told that it could not have been the asteroid, as it couldn't be seen by the naked eye).

But now, with all these other reports of meteor sightings, I don't know if I saw the flash of one of those or maybe Flash himself flying by, but I definitely saw something flashing brightly, I just don't know what, since I wasn't looking up at the sky. I wonder if others in the Lower Mainland have seen anything. Good thing my daughter was with me and saw it too, otherwise I would wonder if I was going crazy.

My daughter thought that maybe the sun was reflecting off of someone's windshield, but we live on the 4th floor, and that would not have reached all the way to the kitchen, which is not directly by the window.

Also, I found out that the asteroid past the Earth around noon, pacific time, about the time that we saw the flash of brightness. Could the asteroid have been reflecting the sun's rays into my kitchen as it whizzed by the Earth or something? And are my daughter and I the only ones who witnessed that brief brightness here in Abbotsford?

More Witnesses To Bright Light Illuminating Homes Seen In Qualicum Beach Vancouver Island British Columbia

Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m. or 12:00 a.m.

Hi Brian, I just read a newspaper article in The Parksville/Qualicum Beach News by Neil Horner regarding reports of strange light sightings in the Dashwood area north of our home in Qualicum Beach on or about February 6, 2013.

I believe we may have seen the same light from our bedroom, which appeared to originate from the sky. It was around 11:00 or 12:00 at night.

Preparing to go to bed, I was facing our patio door when suddenly our bedroom drapes lit up with a bright light illuminating our backyard and bedroom. 

My wife said, `what is that'! I ran to open the drapes as the light faded. Going outside, nothing was visible in the sky (no aircraft sounds) so I assumed it may be a meteor or other anomaly. 

Looked in the local newspapers following this experience to see if anyone else reported it and noticed this article today. Thanks.

UFO Freaked Witnesses Right Out As The Craft Hovered About 9 Feet From Their Vehicle Near Campbell River British Columbia

Date:  2009
Time:  Evening.

Hello, my name is (name removed), I had an incredible experience in 2009 in Campbell River B.C. on the new Island highway.

Me and my best friend we're driving home one evening from Naniamo, we were near Campbell River when we both noticed two lights up in the distance that looked like car lights, it almost looked like there was a car driving down the side of a mountain.

We both didn't think anything of it at the time, we both just thought it was a car and were confused as to when they built a highway in the mountains, (as we told each other after the event).

We continued talking and listening to music. All of a sudden the lights got closer to us and within seconds a massive object as big as a car was floating over my vehicle. It was a large metal structure with two lights that almost looked like blue glowing eyes.

There was an orange glow in the middle of the object. On the sides of this structure were long extended arm like structures. They were shaped as if they were scooping towards us.

This object was hovering in front over my vehicle at about 9 feet. The music in my car shut off completely, it was as if everything shut off including my car. I was no longer paying attention to the road as me and my friend didn't speak being memorized by this thing.

This encounter lasted a total of about 10 to 15 seconds when my girlfriend yelled, "what the heck”. The object then was gone in an instant.

I was all of a sudden driving going 110 km down the highway, my friend turned around to look behind her and saw the object moving very fast in a zig zag motion.

We turned the corner onto Ham road in absolute shock screaming and yelling in disbelief. As we tuned the corner the object stood still in the distance the size of a pea as if it was watching us leave.

Freaked right out, I got into the old highway and pulled over calling my mom trying to explain what we had just saw.

This was the most incredible, scariest and unbelievable moment in my life. I still think about it to this day and still can't believe what I saw. Me and my friend didn't tell a whole lot of people, but that night we got home we did call the police not knowing what else to do.

They didn't have much to say about this obviously. Anyway that is my story. I thought

Numerous Witnesses Observe Orange/Red Light Over Cloverdale British Columbia

Date:  December 17, 2012
Time:  Around 9:40 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.

Good morning, I and about 6 neighbors witnessed something last night at around 9:40-9:45 Pm. on December 17, 2012.

 I only saw the last portion of it, but here is what I witnessed. I stepped out to walk my dog at approximately 9:40 p.m.

As soon as I got out, I noticed a car stopped in the middle of the road to my left a couple houses.

The lady driver had her door open and was looking up and yelling. I thought she was just calling to a neighbour.

I turned right and walked the dog a bit. The dog didn't want to walk, so after maybe 4 minutes, I turned around and started back home, that's when I saw the bright orange/red light pretty much stationary in the sky above and behind the car parked in the middle of the road still.

It was memorizing. The lady saw me and asked if I saw it, another fellow walking a dog said he had seen the light go from basically one horizon, straight overhead, and it was now appeared stopped over a field behind this car.

Fairly high, but I had no reference points. He said it made no sound. I asked if it could be a satellite, he said no, it was way to low for that. I dropped the dog off in the house, got my wife and she witnessed it too.

By now it started moving away from us. We viewed it for a few more minutes until it was behind some clouds.

There were about 6 of us who saw this. One fellow just said "it's evil".

None of us heard any noises like it would be a plane etc. At all times it maintained the same orange/red glow. Very bright.

At first I thought it was an indicator light on a helicopter, but I never saw the green or white that would also be on such. Also, seeing the red only, the helicopter would have to have travelled sideways, and it would have been green approaching us.

Just wondering if there were any other sighting reported for this sighting.

For what it's worth, the direction of travel was approximately SSW to NNE.

Giant V Shaped UFO Fly's Over Campbell River British Columbia (Incident Changes Witnesses Life Forever)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On Monday night of May 09, 2011 I was on my back deck looking up at the stars. I was looking in the east at first, then looking south.

 

Then when I looked up toward the southwest, I seen what I thought at first was a flock of snow geese flying in a huge V formation. I watched it move slowly, just below cloud level. I could see it was the bottom of some large aircraft of some sort.

 

As I watched in awe as it moved across the sky lighting the clouds up like a giant headlight of some sort, I looked back after 10 or 20 seconds where I first noticed it and then I could see the giant top part of the ship with low flashing lights flashing from side to side.

 

I could not believe what I was seeing, it slowly moved without making a sound and went behind some clouds, then out of sight.

 

This thing was massive, at least a mile long maybe 2. The width I can’t say for sure, it certainly was not a plane or helicopter, so what the hell did I see !

 

I want to no if anybody else seen it to, but I don’t no how to go about it. Someone must have seen it? It took up half the sky. This incident has totally changed my life. There truly is some other life form out there. I now go outside at night with my wife and my camera, hoping it comes back so I can get some pictures.

Witnesses Watch A Metallic UFO 2 Meters In Diameter Over Kamloops British Columbia

Time:  Mid afternoon.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My friend an I were enjoying a beautiful summer day sitting on top of a hill overlooking the city of Kamloops. Directly in our line of sight, some 100 meters above the city streets below and some 200 meters in front of us, I saw an object hovering in the air.

 

I asked my companion if he could see "something odd" floating in front of us. He said yes, so I asked him to describe it to see if indeed he was looking at the same thing I was. His description matched what I was seeing.

The object itself was perhaps 2 meters in diameter, metallic although not particularly shiny and orb shaped for the most part. The bottom hemisphere was mostly featureless, with only what appeared to be a few thin rods protruding from it.

 

The top hemisphere was very odd. There was a number of box shapes clustered together. Almost looking like miniature buildings of a city center, with more thin rods sticking up in between the blocks.

 

There was no obvious propulsion or guidance to be recognized.

The object was not stationary, but appeared to be moving gently and slowly both up and down and back and forth. The distance of motion being about 10 meters at a time.

 

There was a brisk wind from the west and the object was not being affected by wind at all, often moving westward. It is probable that anyone looking up from below it would not have seen it at all, due to it's small size a great height.

 

It moved towards us, closing the distance by about 100 meters, half the distance that separated us. Then it disappeared, vanished as I was looking directly at it.

We speculated if it might be some sort of new CIA surveillance device or a miniature UFO. In the years since I have never seen any other UFO report describing anything like it nor has anything similar appeared amongst the US arsenal of flying toys that they have made public.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: OK, there is three of us sitting on our deck chilling out having fun, then we said look how nice the moon is. We laid down looking at the stars and out of no where an object appeared. Not sure what it was, it looked like a circle, not sure, but had a bright white light pointed it at us and slowly kept moving west.

It disappeared in thin air and we wondered what it was, a plane, but there were no noise and it was to fast and planes don’t disappear. So that’s out and that was our night on August 8, 2011 at 12:07 and lasted about 5-10 seconds.

Hi Brian, I am not surprised more sightings have been shared. The date was yesterday, Christmas day and my friends and I had just finished Christmas dinner when we went outside for some fresh air. The first light appeared, mostly red, but it pulsated an orange colour. There was
none of the typical engine noise from a plane and did not follow the normal flight path of aircraft heading to/from the local airport.

It came nearer to where we were, then seemed to dim in some wispy clouds, then completely disappeared. To our amazement, on the horizon there was another light that appeared, on a much lower flight path than the first. As we watched, this one changed speed and direction, and it seemed to pause for a moment (like it was taking a picture), then it seemed to ascend and at one point it looked like a star in the constellation Orion, before completely disappearing out of sight.

Just have to share that I am a channel and I heard after the sighting that it related to the "bouncing point" of 2012.

Did anyone get any video of this?

Beach Ball Sized UFO Over Witnesses Home At Thornhill/Terrace British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I believe I have written this once before on this particular site but, I have had difficulty with sending my e-mails. Could you please call and leave me a message that you did receive this message. I worked evenings as a custodian with (Brian Vike removed personal information) I had just got off shift and was about to open my trailer screen door when I looked up too see a large beach ball sized object, very slowly moving over top of my and the adjacent trailers.

I could have easily jumped off my porch and touched this object with a 8 foot stick. I watched this object hover over every trailer to the end of the court, it slightly changed direction to maneuver in-between the trees and maintain the same height crossing the Skeena river. As I mentioned, this beach ball sized object was dark with a shimmering thin vertical light too the center. I could not believe how slowly this thing moved and it did not make a sound.

I realize it sounds like a probable beach ball but too maintain the same height during entire sighting(which took approximately 5 minutes) only too move amongst the trees, then continue on it's way never too change height or speed. Again, if you could please confirm you received this message it would muchly be appreciated. Thank-you.

Bright White Light Baffles Witnesses Over Penticton British Columbia (ISS Sighting)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Looked out the window and noticed the bright light which was larger then a star moving at a steady, but slow speed from southwest, to northeast. I've seen satellites in the sky before, and this was not it. The light appeared to be low, and below what clouds were in the sky. I notified my wife to look out the window to see. We then went out to our back deck and watched as it continued on and over the mountain horizon until we could no longer see it. It made no sound, no flashing lights like you would see on an airplane. Very strange, and very interesting.

Stationary Square/Cube Shaped UFO Over Witnesses Home In Nanaimo British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi there, I have never filed such a report as this, but I feel compelled. I walk my border collie most nights around 7:30 p.m. On August 31, 2010, we took a familiar route on a nearby street. The evening was cool and grey with low cloud cover, and the daylight had turned into a half light.

The street lights were on 20 minutes later. Something caught my eye to my left and about 200 feet above some houses was a stationary object, probably dark grey or brown, and about five to ten feet wide in size. There were no lights on it. It appeared square, possibly cube like, but as it rotated it disappeared for a second or two, as though it may have been two dimensional.

I discarded the possibility it was a kite, because there was no wind at all. We walked about 40 feet and looked up again and saw it. We walked another 40 feet, with some tall pines blocking our view, and when I looked up again past the pines, it was gone, no trace at all anywhere. It did not reappear. Witnesses Report T Shaped UFO Over Smithers British Columbia

Date: August 31, 2010

Time: 9:00 p.m.

Hi, my name is (name removed) the Date is August 31st 2010. Smithers, B.C.

At 9:00pm we saw a flying object in the sky in a T shape, spinning in the sky. Then afterwards, and it is still going on at 10:40 pm. This bright orange light comes and goes in the sky then disappears, but it goes in circles around town in a stream. As we were driving, we looked over towards Tyhee lake, and there was a bright white light shining up from the lake with a bright orange light over top.

Then within seconds, it disappeared again. We tried to follow this light, but it goes to fast. It is still going around and this is since around 9:00pm tonight. Please email me and let me know what's going on, we tried to get video of the object, but it was too late, it disappeared and not even a minute after it disappeared, there was the bright orange light kind of like a fog circling Smithers British Columbia.

Chilliwack British Columbia Canada More Eye Witnesses To Objects And Aircraft Circling

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was thirsty in the night and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water when I saw some bright lights outside my big bay window. My eyes were half open as I just got out of bed, so I went out onto the patio for a closer look, and hoping the fresh air would wake my senses as well.

What I saw was shocking to me. Two very bright lights that appeared to be round, but were so bright and a little bit far away to tell for sure. So I grabbed the digital camera to take a video or two. Being a little too far away for a night picture to be any decent, I decided video was the only option. With Canon Powershot I could zoom in 12x to see more clearly and up close what was out there.

The object to the left was closer, so my first video started with it up close. It was orange and red, but more orange with lights around the outside of the circle. 5 lights I believe. Neither object made a sound. These round objects appear to be spinning fairly fast in a clockwise direction. I got my girlfriend out of bed to show her as it was exciting and something you just don't see everyday.

The object to the left that was closer faded out as it moved southward. These 2 objects were seen to the west, actually just north of the silhouetted Chilliwack Mountain.

As I filmed the second video, I could see several airplanes to the south circling from over the Chilliwack airport and over Chilliwack Mountain, and it looked like they were keeping these objects on their radar. One plane, seemed to pass just past it. I was thinking, from up there it must be blinding. The other object that was more distant was the exact same, spinning clockwise, but near the end of the fourth video i took, the object started whipping back and fourth in the sky and up and down and then took off to the south where the other disappeared.

I witnessed 5 planes that I could count follow the object in what seemed to be a pursuit. Then I decided to go on the internet, found your site and was shocked to read blogs from May 22nd and May 24th and such that the exact same thing happened, down to the airplanes chasing the objects! Not sure what is going on out there, but it seems since May 22nd, almost everyday this has been going on.

I am putting the videos on the net as we speak and am going to pixilate them. Maybe a more up close will show or tell more. Were they military planes? Is this an experiment? Have UFO's come out of there dimension into this one through a fabric in time and then disappeared back? I will see if in the next couple nights more happens.

Interesting note: On May 28th, 2007 UFO's were spotted at UCFV in Chilliwack and mine was just into May 29th, so I basically call it the 28th. Seems like May is a hot month for activity strangely enough.

Thanks and if you could let me know your thoughts that would be great. Oh, one thing left out, the objects actually turned very bright white with light as if it were a giant flash and then went back to it's orangish reddish color.

Parksville Qualicum Vancouver Island B. C. Canada UFOs Missing Time And Marks On Witnesses Back

Location of Sighting: Parksville/Qualicum.

Number of Objects: Best night was over 30.
Shape of Objects: Ovular.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Myself and two daughters aged 19 and 15 have seen several sighting together as well as individually. One of their friends was also over at out house during one of these episodes. We lived close to a mountain and on several occasions we have witnessed two smaller lights shoot out of a bigger light that was amber in color. The two descended to the top of the mountain and hovered briefly before dislodging something from below. Then one could very briefly see a flash from behind the ridge. They would do this 2 or 3 times before shooting straight up very quickly and disappearing into thin air! Another night at the same house there was suddenly 25 or more really bright lights that were about 10 times the brightness of any star and they would flash and twirl around. This went on for about 40 minutes before they all stopped at once.

We moved to a new house and I would occasionally see a couple of really fast moving objects in the sky. Then one night we grabbed a couple blankets and lay in the yard watching the sky. That night we saw 35-40 very fast moving objects that would vary their activities from shifting from really high rates of speed to hovering to quick descent and ascent patterns and just plain disappearing. This took less than 2 hours. Most recently we (my 19yr old and I) experienced a simultaneous loss of time when we both awoke abruptly at 1:30 in the afternoon! We are both early risers so to be in bed until the afternoon was very shocking to us.

My daughter said her back felt funny and when I looked at it there were at least 50 poke marks in her skin. These healed and were not detectable the same night. I had 2 punctures beneath each of my eyebrows that were red in the center and swollen around the edges. The next day my scalp seemed itchy and when I scratched i felt many small scabs scattered all over my scalp. However we both felt refreshed and full of positive energy and a definite feeling of well being followed us for days. I don't know for a fact if we were 'taken' as there is no memory of anything. I do know that the circumstances were highly unusual.

Surrey, British Columbia Circular UFO Hovers 60 Feet Above Witnesses

Full Description of event/sighting: My then boyfriend, now husband and my girlfriend rented a movie. My husband and I were laying on the couch and he jerked with this expression of fear on his face looking up and outward through the sliding doors. I thought somebody was there outside looking in on the fence surrounding the townhouse front yard. My husband said nothing and jumped up toward the sliding door and went outside. My girlfriend and I followed. What we saw was unbelievable, it was a craft of some kind circular in shape with many lights on the bottom in which we were looking up at. It was hovering about 60 feet above us. We all stood and stared and said nothing its as if we weren't seeing what we were seeing, it started to move west slowly then proceeded faster that we could no longer see it.

I looked at them and them at me and I said we have to do something what the hell was that there has to be a number to call I ran in the house confused on who to call in the phone book and how insane I'd sound and who would believe me. The next day and years past before we even actually spoke of what happened it was really strange when my husband and I talked about it years later. I said why did we never even bring it up to each other again its as if for some reason it was gone in our minds. My husband if I tell anyone the story denies it still, says I'm a kook, but screwed up once while I described the craft to someone after saying he saw nothing and interrupted me and explained that the lights were arranged different than I'd described.

Victoria, British Columbia Witnesses See What They Believed To Be A UFO

Shape of objects: Like a very bright satellite.

Full Description of event/sighting: It was a cold night on May 28, 2008, at approx. 2300 hrs, as I, my sister, my mother, and our friend stood outside the Craigdaroch Castle, listening to the stories of the security guard on duty. Story time was just finishing up, so I looked up to take one last look at the beautiful piece of architecture that stood before me. An unusually bright star caught my attention just to the left of the building. At a closer glance the star appeared to be moving slightly, so I assumed that it nothing more than an exceptionally bright satellite.

So I turned back to hear the rest of the never-ending tale of our new friend. Just then, my sister, who was also looking up at the sky at the same time, said, "hey, where did that light go?" Someone said, "what light?" to which she replied, "the satellite that I was watching just disappeared" I said, "say what?" I looked back to the spot where I last saw this "satellite", and sure enough, it had vanished! I looked all over the night sky and saw no sign of anything moving! I am convinced that what both me and my sister saw was, in fact, a UFO!

Now, whether it was of alien origin, or one of the government's test objects, that is up for debate.

Terrace, British Columbia Bright Intense Light Parked Itself High Above Witness

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, I was sitting again on my bench, looking towards nw, when a light appeared in nnw direction. The UFO was very bright, intensive white colour and became darker after approx: 20 seconds, but still visible a beige round object. The object flew directly towards me and " parked" itself almost directly over me. I would estimate the altitude about 1 kilometer. There was no movement or other reaction, like changing it's light intensity or becoming dark. After remaining in this position for 24 minutes the object suddenly became bright again and flew slowly off in the direction it had come from. This time it remained bright for around 50 seconds and changed back to the beige colour before disappearing in the distance. I lost sight of it after around 3 minutes. That's all. while it was above me nothing unusual did occur and the whole situation was kind of odd because usually they do blink or move.
