Large Bright Glowing Orange Object Seen In The Sky From Blewett British Columbia

Date:  Late November 2012 or early December 2012
Time:  Evening.

I read your article on your sightings. I have been looking all over the net trying to find information about what I saw.

I live in Blewett, which is just above Nelson, B.C., but with a clear view of the Orange Bridge. I saw from the kitchen window a large bright glowing orange orb.

At first I thought it was the moon coming up, but then when it didn't move after an hour. It almost looked like a small sun. It was just past the Bridge towards the north, as if it was coming from Fairview over the Lake.

This would have been late November 2012  - or early December. 

I didn't write down the date unfortunately. It was very foggy that night, so I didn't see any other lights around it.

The information I was able to find on the net from other people seemed to suggest multiple lights and that they were moving.

This did not move and was huge. When I picked up my husband in town, we stood outside the car looking at it, don't know why we didn't take a photo. Did you hear anything about it?

Orange Lights Observed In The Sky Over Tofino Vancouver Island British Columbia

Time:  Between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Hi there, read the reports of UFO sightings in British Columbia with interest, I would like to add what my husband, my son (adult) and I have seen.

On December 31st, between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., my husband is outside on our back veranda when he sees 12 evenly spaced orange glowing orbs flying in a circle (I did not see this).

He calls me to come outside and I see six orange glowing orbs evenly spaced in a vertical line, there was no noise they just hovered for a few seconds when they were joined by a single orb from a south south west direction (Chesterman beach).

I went back into the house to grab the phone to call my son who lives upstairs in our house. I go back outside and my son looks out of the window and all three of us see 3 orange glowing orbs in a horizontal line, 2 disappear and the last one shoots straight up very fast.

These were not weather balloons or flares or fireworks.

Object Falls Out Of The Sky With Long Tail Over Burnaby British Columbia

I just saw someone's post on your site about this so I thought I would add my sighting to it as well. I thought what I saw was at about 12:30 a.m.

Basically I saw something drop straight down out of the sky with a huge white light and very long tail.

I didn't feel anything or hear anything but just saw it fall to earth. I am not very good at judging distances but I thought for certain it hit on the mainland. Maybe it was so big it just looked like it was close? If anyone else saw it, I'd be curious to hear about it.

8 To 10 Lights Seen High In The Sky Over Fairmont British Columbia

Hi, this is just to confirm your sightings. My wife and I were returning from the Black Forest Inn about 11:30 p.m. after dinner on New Years eve.

We first noticed the lights when we were about 5 km north of Fairmont.

There were about 8-10 so at first and were quite stationery and very bright we thought they were lights at the ski hill, but seemed very high.

As we approached Fairmont 80 kpm zone it became obvious they were much higher I would guess 5-10,000 feet or more and some started to fade and gradually disappear.

We parked below the grocery store at Fairmont and watched as they all disappeared in a  SSE direction. They appeared to travel away at a high rate of speed as they faded out of sight.

Witness Watches Night Turn To Day In A Large Flash Of Light Over Qualicum Beach British Columbia

About an hour ago I was lying in my bed watching a movie on my phone.

The room was completely dark except for my phone screen, all of the sudden the outside lit up like daylight, then flashed a few times then went back to darkness.

It is a clear night tonight and I don't think it was lightning. Any ideas on what it might have been? Please get back to me with any information you might have.

Orange Light Fills The Sky Over Tsaxana North Of Gold River Vancouver Island British Columbia

I am responding to a post on the internet regarding the sighting of a bright light in the sky by a witness from Texada Island on the morning of January 02, 2013 at 12:20 a.m.

I would also like to mention that I have witnessed the bright light that filled the sky for a brief moment on that vey night from Tsaxana, a kilometre north of Gold River, BC Vancouver Island.

I put a post on Facebook asking others if they too have seen the light, and several witnesses from the community have seen the same thing. One witness from Tofino, B.C. area also witness the light.

This light filled the sky gradually for 2-3 seconds before going dark again. The sky filled with an orange light becoming bright for only a second before dimming out again into darkness.

I have never seen such light in my life that I was shocked for a moment. The light can be seen coming from the south, but come have easily come from the north.

3 Bright Orange Lights Changed To A Triangle Formation Over South Castlegar British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: It was about 8:00 p.m. December 25th, 2012. I live in South Castlegar, B.C. I was in the hot tub when I saw three bright orange lights slowly appear in a perfect line following each other over the mountaintop.

At first I thought it may be some kind of fireworks. The three lights then stopped and stayed motionless for about 30 seconds. Then in literally a blink of an eye they formed a perfect triangle a great distance apart from each other.

I jumped out of the tub and went into the house and got my two adult sons. They came outside with me and saw the three lights that were still in the triangle formation.

They then broke formation and one light slowly drifted back down to exactly where they first appeared and it then dropped down to the mountainside and disappeared.

The remaining two lights suddenly came back together and slowly began moving in a southerly direction. My son ran upstairs and told my wife about the lights and she came out and we all watched the remaining two lights moving slowly south towards Trail, B.C./USA until they went out of sight.

There was no tail from the lights, they were bright orange orbs, and silent. Never seen anything like this in our lives!

We went online to try to see if there were reports/witnesses and could not believe how many similar sightings were happening all over the world as well as in British Columbia.

Large Round Green Object Feel Out Of The Sky Over Victoria British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: It was freezing that night and I was in bed looking out window trying to get warm. A large green round object slowly descended at an angle at controlled speed.

It was luminous (like northern lights), a dazzling green, not something one normally sees out window. I dashed to window, but saw nothing figuring it had landed nearby.

It was unusual that there was not any traffic at time, nor any other noise. It was eerily quiet. Unfortunately I only face one direction (west) and was not about to go outside to check.

Its movement was effortless. No sound of fireworks which I was listening for. Police suggested it could be a flare and had had no further reports. I think it was a UFO which was incredibly beautiful which I was lucky enough to see.

Sighting lasted only few seconds. No precipitation at time. It was large, round, and a beautiful luminous Kelly green. No other lights visible.

Flash Of Light From The Sky Lit Up Everything Around Us Outside Of Whiskey Creek Vancouver Island British Columbia

Hello, I saw the flash of light that night, too. I live in Whiskey Creek and was less than 5km from home when everything lit up.

There were no clouds anywhere near, I hear nothing and felt nothing (besides terrified), and my radio didn't seem to suffer from any interference.

Shortly after the flash I could see Mt. Arrowsmith, and behind it there was a powerful orange glow reflecting off the distant cloud coverage. It almost looked like the end of a sunset.

The light was unlike any I've ever experienced, and it was intense and enveloped everything around me. It was truly the most remarkable thing I've seen (as far as unexplained phenomena go).

I am so glad I found someone else who witnessed it. I have asked some friends at the local airport to get back tome if they hear anything, and I would be happy to relay the information, and hope you wouldn't mind passing any you get, my way.

As I was getting up to go grab a glass of water, a big green ball of light just fell across the sky, very slowly, and it was about the size of the moon when the moon is full.

Hello, I saw a very bright orange/yellow light shine through our bedroom window on Thursday morning, never seen anything like it before.

It only lasted a couple of seconds. I jumped out of bed to see if I could see anything, it was a clear night, lots of stars, but didn't see anything unusual in the sky.

When I checked the clock it was 12.21 a.m. I live in North Qualicum, the bedroom window faces northwest.

Orange/Red Lights Spotted In The Sky Over Gordon Head Saanich Vancouver Island British Columbia

Hello, me and my friend stepped outside after the New Years count down last night and saw something very bizarre.

It was over cast sky last night and no other lights, stars, planets etc., could be seen. We where in Gordon Head it was 12:15 a.m. on January 1, 2013.

There was a orange/red light that came into view from behind a big oak tree that was moving on a horizontal flight path north east to south west heading for Washington State directly over the Straight Of Jaun De Fuca.

There was no noise of any kind that we could hear. The object was travelling at a constant velocity and then began to slow down and stop completely. After a time period of no more than 60 seconds the light proceeded to fade away completely.

Me and my friend then had a 30 second conversation trying to figure out what the object was that we just witnessed. The light resembled a sodium vapored street lamp and had no strobing effect as a commercial commuter plane would.

This traveling light in the sky by itself probed our curiosity, but what happened next has left us quite confused. A second object emitting the same amount of light, became visible in the tree line. This object was on an identical flight path, and possessed the exact same velocity as the first object.

It mimicked the flight path of the first sighting and came to rest in the same section of sky as the first object. It then began to fade away behaving identically to the first object. Then this happened for a third time. We made identical observations every time.
 

The light would come into view from being blocked by the tree we where standing beside, stop at the exact same spot, and then fade out.

My theory is that this could have been a plane that was traveling in a circular flight path following co-ordinates form a GPS and that would explain why we witnessed identical flight paths. Still, that wouldn't explain why it stopped and behaved the way it did.

Planes don’t stop suddenly and proceed to fade into the distance. I am not sure if the objects physically faded away, or travelled in the direction exactly opposite to us which might have created the illusion of fading out or crossing over into the cover of the clouds. Weather the object travelled away from us or faded physically is something that I am not 100% sure of.

Planes don’t act like this, low orbiting satellites don’t act like this, fireworks form a new years celebration don’t act like this and could not explain what we saw. I have cellphone video of the second and third objects but it is hard to see the movement relative to the sky and ground but everything else is as described. ‘

Bright Orange Balls Of Light Seen In The Sky Over North Nanaimo Vancouver Island British Columbia

Hi there, last night, New Years I was on the deck at approximately 12:30 a.m. when I saw what at first was a fireworks in the sky, it was a bright orange ball. While waiting for it to explode, it turned slowly and disappeared into a cloud.

As I watched, and called my 15 year old son to come see what I was seeing. I saw another 5, 6 in total move from over the tree line at Pioneer Park, make a large circle then disappear into the clouds.

They were all evenly spaced, no noise, and like I said all followed the same path. You seem to be the expert in the area, have you had any other reports of these lights?

Entire Sky Lit Up And Something Fell From The Sky Over Nanoose Bay British Columbia (Fireball/Meteor)

My roommate delivers news papers and we were both in her vehicle when she sky completely lit up.

But there was no crack of lightning at all, just something bright fell from the sky, then it was gone.

I have been looking for someone else who had seen this is and reported it. Any other discoveries I would love to know about it.

It was about 1:15 a.m. in Nanoose Bay, B.C. Canada January 3, 2012.

It was only one I was in the passenger side of the vehicle I looked up from my cell phone, the whole sky lit up and I told my roommate to look.

It was way to long of light up to be lightning, but something did fall in from the sky. I'm thinking probably just a meteor. Which would be pretty phenomenal to have seen so vividly and so close.

Red Lights In A V Formation Seen Flying Over Maple Ridge British Columbia

Time:  7:00 p.m.

 

On December 25, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., my wife was banging on the sliding door and told me to come outside and see the weird lights in the sky. We live in Maple Ridge British Columbia.

 

There were three objects, red in color hovering just below the clouds. You could see through the clouds that other lights were coming through. My first thought was that the Myans were 4 days late in their prediction.

 

5 other objects broke through and also hovered for a short while. When they flew off, they flew very fast in a V formation and then vanished. Before disappearing I asked my son to grab my I Phone and I managed to get two photos and a short video.

 

Although not the best quality due to being dark, you can see the shapes and the V formation.

Beam Of Light Finds Man Just Outside His Home At Cowichan Lake Vancouver Island British Columbia

Hi, was doing some research and came across your page. Last night at about 1:00 a.m. in the morning a guy at my work got up because he couldn't sleep and a light outside caught his attention.

He stepped outside his door a couple of feet and then the beam quickly came to him, then stayed on him for a while.  He didn't know what to make of it all today at work.

He lives just off of Old Lake Cowichan road about half way to Lake Cowichan. Hope we learn more about this light beam!

3 Orange Colored Lights Observed In The Sky From Kitsilano Vancouver British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw the three orange lights, in Vancouver's Kitsilano area at approximately 10:00 p.m. on January 1, 2013. My friend and I were walking over to his house and decided to walk through a field.

We looked up and saw 3 bright orange lights. One of the lights seemed to be falling towards the ground at what looked like 10 km west of us. It seemed to have some sort of aura, we thought it was on fire at first, but it looked different then fire.

It fell out of sight first. The second light was very bright and at a higher altitude than the first. This second light moved northeast for a few seconds then made a sharp turn to the south east and began to gain altitude very fast.

As the second light gained altitude, the third light which was at the highest altitude flashed a couple times and then disappeared. A moment after the third disappeared the second light flashed a few times and disappeared as well.

This was the strangest thing I have ever seen in my life. I searched the internet after the sighting and found this website. Another person seems to have seen the same thing we have!

I am very curious as to what is going on, as through my searching I am finding many similar sightings all over the world.

Bright Blue Light Shone Down Onto Home At Qualicum Beach Vancouver Island British Columbia

Time:  12:19 a.m.

 

Hi, last night at 12:19 a.m. an incredibly bright bluish white light hit our home and lasted for about 5 seconds. It shone through our high windows in our vaulted living room.

 

It came from a direction of southwest and must have been fairly low in the sky. We live beside Qualicum Beach airport, but there was no sound of a plane or any other mechanical device, just complete silence.

 

We also back onto French Creek so there is no possibility of it being car lights. I was hoping someone else reported something.

 

Talked to our local newspaper, but no reports of anything other than an expected meteor shower.

 

My guess is that it was a meteor that almost made it thru the atmosphere. What do you think? Did you hear of anything?

10 Small Blue/White Objects And Huge Red/Orange Circle Flying Over Hornby Island British Columbia

Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

It was around 9:30 p.m. on the night of the 1st when we saw a huge red/orange circle rising up from Hornby (or possibly Denman) Island. 

I had also noticed earlier that night that there were about 10 smaller blue/white bright orbs in an arched line rising up into the sky above Texada Island.

I grabbed a pair of binoculars to get a better look at the strange apparitions and what I saw made my stomach do a flip. They were just hovering and not attached to anything.

There were no 'visible' mountains around, but just the dimming night sky all around them. My boyfriend and I kept staring at them all night until about 9:30 p.m. when he noticed a bright light rising up from Hornby (I thought it was a huge contained bonfire).

It started out as orange mist rising from the tree line to the low clouds. We watched in shock as a huge red glowing perfect circle (that we thought could be the moon, but it was way to close and it was not a full moon that night) rose slowly in to the clouds still surrounded by mist.

It lasted about 10 minutes total and the blue orbs off Texada lasted about 8 hours.

During the time we were outside, the air was still and it was more silent then normal. I looked everywhere on line, in the local paper, and news, but didn’t find out anything on this weird occurrence.

We got a few pictures on our digital camera of the 'thing', but it didn’t turn out pristine.

It was super weird and I have been creeped out for the past few days. I check out my window all night now and don’t see anything.

Is there anything you can tell me or anything I can do now?

I hope this information can help you further your research and that you may some day look in to it. I didn’t believe in UFO's or aliens until now. I also solemnly swear that this story in true and real.

Two Amber Colored Lights That Flew Over Whistler British Columbia

Time:  Approx.: 12:10 a.m.

Hello, myself, my wife and a good friend saw two amber color lights at approximately 12:10 a.m. January 1, 2013.

We were at the riverside RV campground in Whistler.

It was clear sky with excellent visibility.

They seemed to be traveling south. We saw them for only 10 to 15 seconds. It was not aircraft as far as we could tell. The one traveling in front seemed to change direction slightly before disappearing.

The second disappeared almost simultaneously.The strangest thing I've ever seen.

Three Red/Orange Lights Traveling Across The Sky Over Langley British Columbia

Time:  Minutes after midnight.

Hi, I would like to find out what was that I saw in the sky on December 31st, just a couple of minutes after midnight. (Which is actually January 1st, 2013) Langley BC.

I was already in bed waiting for the ringing in the New Year, bedroom lights on, radio quietly playing, fully awake, not even tired, when from the corner of my eyes I happened to see three reddish-orange lights in the sky, travelling slowly, steadily from east to west.

The first was a bit of a distance from the two others.

The lights were very bright and much larger in size than airplanes' lights, and they seemed to have a little aura around them (of faded light). I have never seen anything like this in my life, ever.

I jumped up and stared through the window, in total disbelief. I lived in Richmond for 24 years, I know very well how planes look like, how they move, sound etc.

These were not "normal" planes, but they seemed to be aircrafts to me because they were travelling in a controlled manner.

They lasted about a minute, then one by one they faded away from sight all in roughly the same spot. Due to clouds...or?

First I thought this was some sort of a new firework, a novelty, part of New Year's eve celebration, but thinking about it a little deeper, it was obvious that they could not be, as they did not seem to be launched from the ground and follow a straight trajectory from there. T

hese lights were travelling in an altitude, somewhat slowly and steadily.

I am so puzzled and curious. I would like to ask authorities for an explanation, but I don't know where to start. Who keeps an eye in the sky? Can you help me? Any comments?

Red/Orange Light Flying In The Sky Seen From Kitsilano Vancouver British Columbia

Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Hi, I live in the Kitsilano area of Vancouver and I was just outside having a cigarette when I noticed a reddish/orange light in the sky. At first it looked like a normal airplane until I noticed it had no blinking red and blue lights.

It was just reddish and heading in a ESE direction. It looked like it might have been over West Point Grey or maybe UBC. It was mostly moving in a straight line with very minor deviations until it just stopped and hovered for about 2 minutes.

It then slowly gained altitude straight up, no sided to side motions at all and it lost luminosity and it was gone. I looked around for another 5 minutes or so but didn't see it again.

Large Bright Red/Orange Light Seen In The Sky Over Fraser Lake British Columbia

Time:  Approx: 9:15 p.m.

Hello, I saw a red/orange object in the sky at about 9:15 p.m. on New Years Eve December 31, 2012 in Fraser Lake B.C.

It was not a plane. It was coming from the north going south, then it seemed to stop and went east. It was large and bright. I called my husband and both grandkids, we all seen it.
